For the my|GEMINI platform, above all direct banking products, integration into the banking environment is necessary. BSC PRAHA offers the my|BOS GEMINI400 component, a sophisticated interface between direct banking systems and the banking core system (it is clear from the name that this is the AS/400 platform). The interface is designed both for BSC direct banking (my|GEMINI) and for other competing or special-purpose banking solutions.
The essence of this interface is securing inputs to the banking system or related modules (e.g. inputting payments) and actively recognising changes and events in the banking system on an on-line basis, and transferring information to external systems (e.g. on-line information on changes to account balances).
Functionality is derived from the needs of these external systems (i.e. chiefly direct banking systems). Typically, however, alongside key mechanisms and support mechanisms such as servicing accounts (opening and closing accounts and projecting these events into external systems) and the distribution of lists of rates and codes, my|BOS GEMINI400 also covers the receipt and processing (either fully automated or requiring intervention) of payment orders, direct debits, time deposits, standing orders, etc.; it actively informs external systems of changes to account balances, account blocking, fees charged for transactions, rejected payments, changes to time deposits and loans, etc.
